Outdoor Lighting Solutions
Zhongshan Haohong Lighting & Decoration Co., Ltd. (export brand QIJIUJIU) manufactures outdoor luminaires and steel poles in Zhongshan, Guangdong, and supports OEM/ODM customisation. Below are the four application scenarios we are most often asked to support, with the fixture types typically involved and the specification points that matter in each case.
Scenario descriptions below state typical scope and engineering considerations. They contain no project-specific performance figures, client names or contract values. Project solutions are always developed against the owner's design documents and local codes.
1. Smart campus and industrial park
Campus and park schemes combine functional road lighting with pedestrian-scale lighting and, increasingly, pole-mounted devices. The usual challenge is not brightness but coordination: one set of poles has to serve vehicles, pedestrians, security cameras and network equipment.
- Typical fixtures: multi-function composite poles, single-arm and twin-arm road poles, garden lights, lawn lights, path lights, bollards
- Specification points: pole height and spacing by road class; reserved interfaces and conduit for later modules; CCT uniformity across one batch; glare control near buildings and dormitory windows
- Common add-ons: single-lamp control, environment monitoring, broadcast speakers, CCTV brackets
2. Urban road lighting and pole retrofit
Two distinct jobs: new-build road lighting, and retrofitting existing poles to carry smart modules or LED luminaires. Retrofit requires verification before anything is mounted.
- Typical fixtures: LED street light luminaires, smart poles, solar street lights for sections without mains supply
- New build: confirm road class and maintained average illuminance, then choose height, spacing and wattage; check wind load and foundation
- Retrofit: verify existing wall thickness and corrosion, foundation concrete strength, and recalculate wind load for the added projected area of cameras, displays or antennas
- Power choice: grid where available and reliability matters; off-grid solar for rural roads, greenways and sections where trenching is impractical

3. Commercial complex lighting
Retail and mixed-use developments need a clear distinction between functional lighting, facade expression and signage — and a colour temperature that reads consistently across all three.
- Typical fixtures: floodlights, wall washers, linear lights, window-sill lights, in-ground uplights, garden and lawn lights for plazas
- Specification points: beam angle chosen from throw distance; wall-washer setback and spacing; high colour rendering where material texture matters; controlled upward light ratio
- Control: static white schemes on 0–10 V or DALI; animation and festive scenes on DMX512/RDM

4. Cultural tourism and night lighting
Night tourism and scenic-area schemes emphasise composition and atmosphere: outlining structures, washing feature walls, lighting planting and water, and limiting light spill into the surrounding environment.
- Typical fixtures: linear outline lights, pixel dots, wall washers, underwater lights (IP68, low voltage), in-ground uplights, sculptural landscape poles
- Specification points: colour and dynamic scenes layered over a white base mode; dark-sky and ecological considerations; serviceability in hard-to-reach positions
- Durability: IP65 baseline, IP67 in-ground, IP68 submersible; coastal sites need upgraded materials and corrosion protection

How a project typically runs
- 1 · Requirements: site conditions, road class or scene, illuminance or effect target, power availability
- 2 · Specification: fixture selection, pole calculation, photometric proposal
- 3 · Sample and mock-up: samples for approval, on-site aiming of a mock-up section for facade schemes
- 4 · Production: manufacture and factory testing
- 5 · Delivery and support: documentation, spare parts and after-sales support
